Elementally Natural

Day 1
Arrival and transfer to Xandari Hotel, offering amazing views of the Central Valley, immersed within coffee plantations in a very peaceful and rural setting.

Day 2
Departure to Pacuare Lodge, located in the midst of a rainforest on the river banks of stunning Pacuare River, close to the city of Turrialba. Along the way, visit Irazú Volcano National Park, the highest in the country, where you may enjoy its impressive craters and the beautiful scenery that surrounds it.  In the afternoon, relax and enjoy nature in the unmatched stillness of this exclusive lodge.  Overnight at Pacuare Lodge.

Day 3
Guided hike along the tropical forest combined with a canopy tour, which gives us a different perspective of the forest and its height as we glide along wire cables through the tree tops.  Overnight at Pacuare Lodge.

Day 4
Ground transfer to Caño Blanco, located close to the city of Siquirres, where we will board a boat that will take us all the way to Tortuguero National Park, on the north Caribbean coast.  The trajectory leads us through banana plantations and later along natural water canals of great beauty, where you may observe a wide variety of wildlife species and beautiful natural views.  In the afternoon we will visit the Turtle Museum (Museo de la Tortuga) and Tortuguero town, where one may easily perceive the slow, laid back way of life that characterizes this small fishermen’s town. Overnight at Manatus Hotel.

Day 5
Guided boat tour along the National Park’s canals. Time at leisure to enjoy the surrounding nature.  At night (July-October) we will go on a guided visit to the beach to observe the green turtles as they reach the coast and lay their eggs. Overnight at Manatus Hotel.

Day 6
Domestic flight back to San José. Ground transfer to Manuel Antonio National Park, located on the Central Pacific coast. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the beach and hotel amenities. Overnight at Arenas del Mar Hotel.

Day 7
Guided visit to Manuel Antonio National Park; you will have free time to enjoy the park the rest of the day.  Manuel Antonio protects a magnificent tropical forest and several clear sand beaches that are connected by natural hiking trails, allowing visitors to observe the exotic flora and fauna as they explore the different beaches. Overnight at Arenas del Mar Hotel.

Day 8
Morning at leisure to enjoy the beach and later in the afternoon, ground transfer back to San José.  Overnight at Xandari Hotel.

Day 9
Transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport.
