Explore two beautiful destinations that provide some of the best wildlife and nature in the country! Spend the first three nights in the Arenal Volcano, an area full of things to do, rainforests, hot springs and wildlife! From Arenal travel south to the Osa Peninsula, which is according to National Geographic the most biologically intense place on Earth thanks to its high diversity of flora and fauna. This week-long itinerary is perfect to escape from your routine and fill your green heart!

Day 01.Arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica

Meet & Greet at the San Jose Airport and private transfer to the Arenal Volcano area. Overnight at Arenal Nayara Hotel

Day 02.Arenal Observatory Preserve Tour

(B,L) After breakfast you will enjoy the guided visit to the Arenal Observatory Private Preserve. An 11-kilometer (7-mile) network of well-marked and maintained trails that are ideal for hiking and birdwatching. These trails give you access to so much local natural beauty, including river and waterfalls and since they are inside a 870-acre private property, you won’t run into crowds when out exploring. From this area you will have excellent views of the Arenal Volcano! After the guided walk enjoy a delicious lunch at El Jilguero Restaurant, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking at the southern slope of Arenal Volcano, and panoramic views of Arenal Lake. Return to the hotel and balance of the day at leisure. Overnight at Arenal Nayara Hotel

Day 03.Arenal Hanging Bridges Tour

(B) This morning enjoy the private Arenal Hanging Bridges Tour. This beautiful, environmentally friendly project located near the Arenal Volcano offers a series of trails that span a total of 2 miles, allowing you to see the rainforest from a bird’s perspective! Your naturalist guide will teach you about Costa Rican culture, history, and nature, while pointing out different species of plants, animals and birds along the way. These trails bring you as close as you’d ever hope to see the rainforest and its inhabitants, as well as give you access to see stunning views of the rainforest and mountains that are miles away. Balance of the day to enjoy the hotel facilities or sign up for an optional activity. Overnight at Arenal Nayara Hotel

Day 04.Arenal Volcano – Osa Peninsula

(B,L,D) This morning you will have a private transfer to the Arenal Airstrip to connect with a private charter flight to Drake Bay. Upon arrival in Palmar Sur you will be picked up by Copa de Arbol Hotel staff for the ground transfer to Sierpe, from there continue to by boat on the Sierpe River to Drake Bay. Check-in at the lodge and balance of the day at leisure. Overnight at Copa de Arbol Hotel

Day 05.Corcovado National Park Tour

(B,L,D) Full day to explore Corcovado National Park. The tour starts with a boat transfer to La Sirena Ranger Station for a guided hike into the rain forest. A picnic lunch will be served during the tour.
Important note: Corcovado NP tour in package will be at La Sirena ranger station unless weather/ocean conditions/park rules/guest limitations etc. prevent this, and then we go to San Pedrillo ranger station. Overnight at Copa de Arbol Hotel

Day 06.Caño Island Biological Reserve Tour

(B,L,D) Depart with your guide for a day tour to Isla del Caño Biological Reserve, a guided snorkeling expedition in crystal waters. Overnight at Copa de Arbol Hotel

Day 07.Drake Bay – San Jose

(B) Morning boat and ground transfer to the Drake Bay Airstrip to connect with the domestic flight back to San Jose. Upon arrival in San Jose you will be picked up for the transfer to the hotel. Check-in and overnight at Xandari Resort

Day 08.San Jose International Airport

(B) According to the departure time of your flight, private transfer to the SJO Airport. End of our services!
