El Remanso Lodge


Hidden in the rainforest above a secluded and wild beach, El Remanso Lodge is situated on the Osa Peninsula Costa Rica, close to Puerto Jimenez. The lodge is oriented to those seeking to enjoy the secrets and pleasures of a pristine rainforest experience and it is ideally suited for couples or families, naturalists, photographers and all nature lovers wishing to escape mass tourism resorts.

The lodge offers a total of 13 spacious units of cabins or rooms, providing an overall capacity of up to 30 guests. Its size enhances the small-scale character of the lodge, enabling a highly personalized service that has been highly recognized by all its discerning guests.

The property includes an extensive trail system, which lets you discover the magic of a primary rainforest and observe the abundant wildlife surrounding the lodge. Explore secluded waterfalls, take a stroll on a deserted beach with tide pools and a lagoon or wander next to exciting small creeks deep in the rainforest canyons.

A variety of activities can be enjoyed at the El Remanso Rainforest Wildlife Lodge with highly knowledgeable guides. Adventure and discovery activities include thrilling waterfall rappelling, early-morning birdwatching, guided interpretative hikes, and a canopy tree platform tour among others. Likewise, guests can simply relax on the wooden deck of their cabin while watching monkeys swing through the surrounding trees. Outside excursions are offered by local guides and include dolphin-watching in the Golfo Dulce, horseback rides through the rainforest and beach, surfing on the famous Matapalo breaks or hiking on a day tour in the Corcovado National Park.

El Remanso also offers a chemical free pool, a poolside bar and a restaurant that mixes international food with a local touch in the three meals served every day on the open-air deck built on the top of a forest canyon.
